  Mission: Ecological Restoration through participatory Community Governance Initiatives.Vision: Ecological Restoration of degraded Wastelands and sustainable livelihoods with special focus on Indegenious Communities using Resource Management Methodology funded by Japan.The uniqueness of this Project is its transparent management of public funds and participatory nature of implementation. More than 3500 people, Office bearers, directly involved in the Project implementation activities through 313 Peoples' Institutions (PIs) of which 56% of Office bearers were Women & 83% belong to Tribal Communities (IRULA, KURUMBA & MUDUGA tribes).The very fact that these Communities were successfully implementing Project activities worth Millions of rupees speaks volumes about the success of the Project & its impacts on the empowerment of the local populace of which I was a participatory part & parcel for about 5 years.
