  My experience as a student during my industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) at Aero contractors of Nigeria limited, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja Lagos was engaging at the Technical section which got me involved in the day-to-day operations of its workshop (Overhaul and sheet metal). I was also shown how to operate different Non-destructive testing equipment’s in different areas and the principles by which all these devices operate under at the overhaul section. During my period of attachment, I was introduced to the sheet metal workshop and its major operations that includes Fabrication of aircraft components, Manufacturing of rivet washer, Repair of cracks and Corrosion treatment How to use technical drawings (by drafting and analyzing) to ascertain component producibility before engaging in fabrication or repair.Conforming to the regular pattern, I was informed that proper documentation of a task to be undertaken must be done before proceeding to do such task.
