  As an independent translator and layout artist, I have carried out multiple projects, among them:* File conversion and preparation for smooth translation processes: conversion from PDF to translatable formats keeping the original aspect.* Translation and revision of texts in the following areas: user manuals, marketing, life sciences (informed consent forms, promotional materials, questionnaires, guides) from English into Catalan and Spanish. Other language combinations include: Spanish into Catalan (and vice versa) as well as Portuguese and Swedish into Spanish/Catalan.* Import of translations into their final layout both in Adobe InDesign and CorelDRAW as well as non-editable images recreation.* Post translation conversion and layout finalization in MS Word: table of contents, cross references, linking, etc. Show less

  From 2013 on, I developed my career at TransPerfect as a Senior Client-Facing Project Manager, managing complex localization projects for different CROs and pharmaceutical companies, making possible that clinical research studies could be timely understood and driven worldwide.The nature of the documentation managed was patient facing (ICFs, patient recruitment materials as brochures, leaflets… and ID cards, etc.), specialist facing (CRPs, IBs, EC correspondence, IMPDs, SmPCs, etc.) and legal-related materials (contracts, power of attorney, study budgets, notarizations, etc.).As a Client-Facing Senior Project Manager, my responsibilities were:* Client liaison to understand their necessities, discuss procedures and submission deadlines to provide the best approach and deliver the best product within the timelines. * File preparation, regardless of the source format, to ensure a smooth translation process as well as translation memory leverage for client savings. * Management of quotes, budgets and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.* Research of and assignment to the most appropriate linguistic teams, ensuring their specialization matched the one of the nature of the materials involved.* Coordination of the actors involved in the project: linguistic team, QA team, DTP team, as necessary, and planification of all the steps to meet client deadlines.* Perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure accuracy and quality as well as compliance with all ISO regulations, processes and procedures.* Where applicable, arrangement of post translation conversion and print-ready materials to meet client expectations.* Investigation of client complaints, resulting in offering proactive, efficient and resolutive solutions and ensuring the application of those solutions to avoid the repetition of the issues.* Participation in client calls as well as in internal and external audits.   During my time in Oxford Conversis Ltd., I have managed different multilingual localization projects for a major CRO, making it possible for their patients to receive the clinical trial documentation properly translated.
