  Drilling Fluid Engineer

  My responsibilities includesPreparing drilling fluids as per mud program and maintaining fluids properties at rig site as hole conditions dictate and concern with client for suggestions & recommendations.Preparing recaps, maintaining and planning product inventory and cost, optimizing drilling fluids product concentration by studying offset well data, if available, re-ordering and re-stocking chemicals as required.Run all mud checks on daily basis at well site with the proper laboratory kits, all the tests for the drilling fluid carried out as per A.P.I. standards.Act and response according with local and internal QHSE norms.Follow the system for waste management and zero discharge as per client’s requirement.Provide computerized snap shot of fluids hydraulics using MI SWACO Software (rheological features, pressure drops and hole cleaning & ECD etc.), daily variation of fluid parameters, volume inventory, shakers screens usage, chemical consumption and costs recorded over the entire duration of the operations.Conduct Well Location pilot testing for unusual mud treatments or as required by mud supervisor to avoid unsuitable or potentially damaging or incompatible additions to the circulating system.Recommend and suggest improvement of mud system, equipment efficiency, project planning and rig evaluation for new upcoming rigs etc.Be responsible for the safe handling, safe loading and unloading of products and equipment, safe stacking and handling of chemicals at the well site to ensure correct procedures are followed by rig crew to avoid damage to products.Ensure that applicable requirements regarding Quality, Health, Environment and Safety are adhered to with respect to company activities (all products lines on the rig).Calibrate the mud testing equipment; maintain calibration records.
