      As editor in chief, I managed more than 15 writers, designers and photographers. I also wrote feature stories for print and the magazine’s website, www.studybreaks.com; assigned and edited all stories; led weekly editorial meetings; and interviewed and hired new staff members. In addition, I organized and implemented a redesign of the publication that included the creation of 12 innovative new sections for the magazine.

In this position, Ialso began to take on much more of a management role among the staff. I was managing the flow of deadline each month. This started on the first day of each cycle, when I organized the story list and ran through it with the entire staff to plan what would go in the next issue. During close, I was in charge of getting each and every story through the process of layout, copy editing, fitting and shipping. Show less As Staff Writer, I began writing breaking industry news stories for our website, Financial-Planning.com. Some days I was writing up to eight or nine stories each day, increasing traffic significantly to our site. I was also writing short front-of-the-book stories for our monthly print publications, reporting on new industry research and interviewing the best and brightest in financial services. I also was responsible for the 2008 Broker-Dealer Survey which consisted of contacting more than 100 independent broker-dealer firms regarding an exhaustive list of research from the prior year. This project was completed in the June issue featuring 18 pages of charts and a six-page feature where I interviewed top minds in the advisory industry. Show less

      As the Digital Strategy and Content Manager of LatAm, I worked with media agencies, brand marketers and social media platform partners across 12 countries to increase the effectiveness of Purina’s digital marketing throughout Latin America to achieve results that exceeded CPG benchmarks. I increased investment in key paid channels, eliminated wasteful spending, reshaped media plans to adhere to best practices, drove brand objectives through best-in-class content and developed a model for e-commerce asset creation that strategically repurposed resources across countries. I also worked with internal and external partners to determine how digital products and experiences could provide critical opportunities on our Latin American digital roadmap as well as a strategy for how to activate them in key countries.
