From this information, this allowed me to liaise with the project management team to answer the following questions:• Is the required work or materials a commodity, customized product or service, or unique skill or relationship?• What type of relationship is needed: supplier, vendor, or partnership? - Assisted with contract drawings and preparations of quotations. The type of materials or service was well defined and could be obtained from several sources. I had to analyse what bidder was best fit for the job, taking in to account the quality and schedule requirements. Generally the bidder that met these standards and offered the best price was awarded the contract. - Took responsibility of the placing of material purchase orders and the selection of the appropriate relationships and contract approaches for each type of purchased good or outsourced service. - Answered the telephone to clients and handled their enquiries at the point of need through excellent customer service.   This was a manual Laboring Job where I gained first-hand experience with roofing works. In my role, I experienced the different roles within the Roofing sector mainly from a laborers point of view, working under experienced and qualified tradesmen on many different projects for the likes of Tesco, Farmfoods and Scottish Power. To deliver the best quality service, a company that worked closely with RSL on site was KCR construction. This later gave me the opportunity to work alongside their employees and learn the various other roles that they employ within the construction sector. Show less

  This was a call centre based job where I gained experience in handling all types of calls from retention to sales. In this exciting and stimulating role, I acted as the first point of contact, taking inbound calls from existing members who wish to discuss their potential cancellation of services. This gave me the opportunity to enhance my skill set and experience as I got a much more confident approach on how to deal with difficult customers. By demonstrating the ability to provide a high level of customer service I offered the customer complete peace of mind on their products and services by highlighting the features and benefits of them in attempt to retain them. Also within this role, I got the opportunity to cross-sell new products for example (Sky Talk, Multiscreen or accessories)With my excellent customer service skills I ranked at 80% on NPS and I continuously gained feedback to make insightful decisions around products and services.   In my third year of University I embarked on a full semester abroad to the city of Barcelona. The opportunity to study abroad made me eager to learn more about another country's culture and behaviours and also provided me with a great opportunity to challenge myself in unfamiliar territory with little experience of the language or the environment. Before embarking on exchange I knew the opportunity to study in a completely different environment came with the added pressure of working in situations I was not always familiar with or used to. This meant that in order to cope well with the pressures I knew I must motivate myself to work harder and be more determined when faced with any particular situation, task or responsibility. In my role, I experienced the different roles within the construction sector from a laborers point of view, working under experienced and qualified tradesmen in many different projects and environments. As a manual laborer, I had the responsibility of loading, unloading and identifying building materials, machinery, and tools, and distributed them to the appropriate locations safely in accordance with the project plans and specifications. While carrying out such tasks I had to ensure all work stations and surrounding areas where cleaned and prepared to eliminate possible hazards. These health and safety standards implemented on-site where met in accordance with the key principles and legislation set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in which I had to adhere to at all times.   As a procurement intern with Wellindal I was granted the opportunity to rapidly increase my knowledge around agile methodologies, working in a cross-functional client driven team within a fast paced Wholesale goods industry. My role within the procurement team at Wellindal covered the responsibility for the management and development of its purchasing function for more than 90 categories, 250K items and 2000 brands. As a result, I was heavily involved in the identification and prospection of new brands for each category in which I believed would best satisfy the customer whilst closely analyzing the KPIs of the business. This involved looking further beyond Spain and recognizing brands abroad that had a wealthy and exciting product portfolio. In addition to the above, I was also responsible for completion of the templates of the providers via excel.
