  Michelle Lazar, MA, MT-BC, Michigan native, founded Coast Music Therapy in 1999 to expand opportunities for children and teens in San Diego who despite their challenges, thrive when music is used to support their communication, motivation, social skills, academics, motor skills, and navigating emotions. Michelle is a Board Certified Music Therapist with a Master's Degree in Special Education from San Diego State University. San Diego-based Coast Music Therapy offers IEP-based services for children and teens in grades PreK-12 who require music therapy in order to benefit from their educational program. Our staff of Board Certified Music Therapists specialize in autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Rett Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, neurologic impairments, and developmental disabilities. Show less
