      The manager is responsible for day-to-day Systems Operations and Management assurance within his area of responsibilities.The manager is responsible of Resources: Human Resources, Financial Resources (CAPEX, OPEX), Value materialization and Reporting on performances.The manager is responsible of his platforms end to end. Current scope covers 2 software system (including their sub-systems) solutions: ICAP (Integrated Customer Administration and Provisioning) and ETS (Enterprise Transaction Switch). As such, he is the ultimate accountable person for overall system performance. Therefore, he is required to working time-to-time extended hours, including also weekend, most specifically during month-end and/or for planned/unplanned jobs executed during maintenance window.This role aims to ensure any business application systems used for provision of services by Vodacom and which is entrusted to the role is:1. Properly identified (logically and physically) and securely commissioned in data centre and connected to the LAN (physically and logically). This entails responsibility of the asset estate as a whole, including but not limited to: Properties/Characteristics of server(s) hosting system solution (IP, hostname, etc.), operating system and version running on the host, location of the host, power feed, etc.2. Available 24/7/365, up and running to the level of performance compliant to agreed Quality of Service (QOS). This entails responsibility for delivering daily system performance report – with 360° Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)3. Monitored constantly for proactive preventive system maintenance at all three (3) layers of the software system (Business Application/Web server – Operating System - Database) including as well corrective maintenance. 4. Protected from unauthorized access. 5. Scanned regularly for potential cyber threats. 6. Patched on regularly basis as per best practice. 7. Redundant to satisfy resilience objectives. 8. Supported by vendors for defect resolution and preventive maintenance to satisfy availability objectives. Show less MAIN DUTIES• Collect data related to system for new planned products• Perform and report on FATs, UATs and regression tests• Perform tests and validation of new AIRTIME implemented • Implement solution or workaround in the incidents and problems management processes• Ensure that all product issues logged thru Service Desk, SRM, CIA and Billing Admin are followed up to their closure.• Report on detected problems, execute the full recovery and restoration actions, and ensure administration paper work for required changes • Update AIRTIME systems configuration to cater with changes in the network• Follow up fault logging with suppliers (Ensure that the SLA with the supplier is met)• To be involved in the Incident & Problem Management processes • Perform risk and impact assessment for all changes • Ensure all the paperwork completion for any change • Execution of tasks as per the tasks planning • Execution of customized scripts related to implemented products ( Reporting, manual update, bulk correction, …)• Produce the weekly and monthly PPFE & EVD_Pegasus STATS• Generation of needed dumps for reporting purposes (Monthly, Weekly & Daily)• Collect data for the Capacity report • Participate in the BCP exercises and Report on BCP/DRP• Spares Physical check Show less
