      Feb 2021 - now
      Board Member

The California Children’s Trust (The Trust) is a statewide initiative to reinvent our state’s approach to children’s social, emotional, and developmental health. We work to transform the administration, delivery, and financing of child-serving systems to ensure that they are equity-driven and accountable for improved outcomes. The Trust regularly presents its Framework for Solutions and policy recommendations in statewide and national forums. At the Trust, I lead youth engagement and advocacy to voice the demands and needs of CA youth through multiple state conferences and webinars to advance the mental health advocacy objectives. I've written an issue brief to emphasize the need for peer-to-peer mental health support programs to strengthen access to care for youth post-COVID 19, helping to build a stronger social health workforce to address CA's provider shortages, & break down how the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) of $4.4 billion can fund peer-to-peer programs in schools. In the meantime, I continue to provide recommendations to the state to advance peer-to-peer support initiatives for all high school students in CA through my involvement in the CYBHI Think Tank.
