  Assistant Manager handling a portfolio of audit clients operating in various sectors; mainly: Insurance, Investments, Real Estate, Contracting, Retail and Manufacturing including listed companies in the Kuwait Stock Exchange; whereas I am responsible for managing assignments from early stage of planning and risk assessment until the conclusion and reporting stage including communications with those charged with governance as well as monitoring and supervising the audit team; with the following detailed responsibilities:* Planning the engagement: • Analyzing research to ensure thorough understanding of each client's industry and business. • Determining audit approach through focusing on the clients’ business and revenue models.• Formation and mobilization of audit teams, and the preparation of associated budgets, as well as establishing the engagement economics.* Managing the engagement: • Demonstrating strong technical knowledge and having the ability to research issues, present alternatives and conclusions.• Reviewing and assessing internal controls function and suggesting the improvements in accordance with business strategies.• Deployment of the Digital audit including Data Analytics, Robotics and audit software to improve efficiency with high performance.• Ensuring that the companies comply with the applicable financial reporting standards; mostly International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).• Performing risk analysis for engagements, through determining the main factors of Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Equity Price Risk and Foreign Currency Risk.* Completing the engagement: • Advising audit clients on the accounting treatment of complex business transactions.• Preparing/reviewing the separate/consolidated financial statements together with final audit documentation.• Preparing and delivering meaningful individual performance evaluations on a timely basis.• Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
