      I interned as a research assistant at the Brigham and Women's sleep epidemiology department for the summer, working full-time. While there, I collaborated with the team to enhance their research projects, managed paperwork, and curated data for clinical research trials using excel. Through the encouragement of the team, I began learning web development using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, and GitHub.

      I interned at Ashland Inc. full-time for 6 months in the maintenance department. Working for both the maintenance manager and senior project engineer, I performed a number of tasks and projects.When I arrived, I started off labeling reactor systems and redlining/updating process and instrumentation diagrams. I worked on the site's Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) project in which the plant's maintenance work was advancing towards being more preventative than reactive. Throughout the co-op, I shadowed and assisted the maintenance personnel as well as the maintenance manager in some of their daily tasks. Towards the end of the co-op I performed calculations and created associated equipment limitation requirement estimates for an HVAC (heating, ventilation, Air-conditioning) system in the plant's warehouse.       • Optimized the efficiency of the material preparation processes for the fuel cell stacks• Characterized materials using profilometry and porosimetry. Applied this empirical data to theory and implemented the resulting information into an Excel fuel cell model. • Fuel cell model optimization allowed me to make performance predictions in stack component configuration changes and component design upgrades. • Performed stack tests and used Excel macros to summarize resulting data into analyzable graphs such as polarization curves. • Disassembled and visually analyzed post-mortem stacks for further empirical data on stack performances. I cover the Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and El Paso territories. Working with our distributor partners, I develop both the distributor and Schneider businesses through transactional industrial automation and power product sales for those areas.
