      The majority of my internship here I worked on leading the development and maintenance of a web application used by firmware and software teams within L3Harris Wescam. I was in charge of designing and implementing new updates to the application. In my internship I was also tasked with creating smaller tools to be run within the terminal with shell scripting. As my internship progressed I lead the design and development of a new web application that was to be added to the existing ecosystem. In this capacity, I designed a product architecture that yielded an annual savings of $60,000 for small business owners. In developing this product I was able to significantly enhance my expertise in integrating software solutions with large language models (LLMs). The solution was presented in the Archangel's Den pitch competition where it was placed 3rd.

      Language Engineer

      While in this role I was contracted out to a trillion dollar company where I assisted in the development of their voice assistant AI. Additionally I spearheaded the development of an Automatic Dialect Identifier AI to recognize and classify English dialects accurately at the sentence level for this company. This project has sharpened my skills in natural language processing and has taught me how to seamlessly integrate complex ML models into user-focused applications.

      3rd place achievement in Queen's IEEE Student Project Competition IEEE Kingston Section Apr 2023 This achievement was awarded for the work done on my Local Speaker Identification and Speech Transcription AI capstone project. The award was decided through the combination of a one page abstract, a 10 minute presentation and a demo of the final product. The project itself was an Web app tool that could be used to identify speakers through a single microphone, transcribe their speech and display it to the users.
