      8 week intensive: "Raising the Right Revenue" Fundraising Strategy, Tools & Tactics Certificate of Completion

      Activities and Societies: Collaborative weekly 3-hour intensive workshop series across 8 weeks with non-profit Executive Directors and Directors of Fund Development. This course provided training across a breadth of fundraising and fund development topics including: major gifts, membership fees, grant writing, developing/delivering pitches, earned income and corporate giving.

      In this training, I learned how to judge the necessary measures to fulfill fiduciary responsibilities as a board member. I gained knowledge on making decisions that support the mission and vision of an organization and learned to avoid getting involved in operational details. The training strengthened my ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team. I also learned the elements of effective and productive board meetings and focused on applying best governance practices.

      This one day workshop is for board members who want to learn how to develop a culture of fund development within their organization. It reviewed the current limitations and opportunities in non-profit fund development and helped attendees assess which fundraising approaches would work best for their organization. It also provided training to attract and retain prospective donors as well as understanding the boards role in fund development.

My role centers on deepening partnerships, enhancing member engagement, securing long-term funding, streamlining operations, and bolstering our societal impact.Managing 11 part-time employees and numerous volunteers, I also lead a variety of initiatives focused on knowledge translation, capacity building, research facilitation, and advocacy. These initiatives include a blog, podcast, conferences, workshops, seminars, research projects, working groups, and award programs.
