  TFTS System Testing Officer

  - Conducting detailed end to end testing on all ticketing devices and associated back office system components within the new Translink Future Ticketing System (TFTS), ensuring that the appointed ticketing system supplier delivers fully functional device hardware and software, user-friendly customer interfaces and high integrity back office systems as required by Translink. - Fully testing complex software on each the following ticketing devices: - On-bus ticket machine, Office Point of Sale ticket machine, Handheld ticket machine, Ticket Vending Machine, Platform Validator device, Electronic Gate and On-bus Exit Validator. - Fully testing complex software on all back office system components including fares and ticket type configuration, smartcard configuration, data import, corrupt file rejection, user access rights, management reporting, error handling.- Creating detailed test scripts which will enable a series of robust tests to be performed on each device and system component to show that it is fully functional and, if not, so that any faults, errors or bugs can be easily recorded and fed back to the supplier for further investigation. - Recording and detailing information relating to software faults encountered so that the nature of the fault, and the conditions required to recreate the fault, are clearly understood.- Providing technical support for live user testing of devices by assisting with test preparations and the recording of user feedback Show less
