Participated in major sourcing strategies and agreements, and later converted the historically 100% inspected manufacturing policies to an offline audit resulting in significant labor savings. Also during this time I achieved American Society for Quality Control (ASQC) certification, and served as Program Manager for the IEEE's "Quality in Electronics" symposiums, as well as Chairman of the Raleigh Section, ASQC (now known as ASQ). I actually worked here twice: I was there first from 1/74 to 8/77 as Quality Assurance Manager for the Creedmoor Plant, and then again from 11/84 to 5/89 first as Supplier Q.A. Manager for the DMS product lines, and then as a project manager for the FTS-2000 project.

Reviewed customer specifications and engineered drawings and assembled RFQ packages for our overseas operations. Negotiated design changes needed for process optimization. Performed the standard sales follow up activities such as confirmation of delivery, problem resolution, and maintaining contacts with key engineering and purchasing people.
