  During this placement the aviatrix project presented me with the topic of 'COVID-19 and the impact on air travel'. I worked with my project supervisor, a commercial airline pilot, to produce a final report and a poster that summarised my findings and research conducted on the COVID-19 situation and its impact on air travel in particular in the UK.

  The Career Start Talent Pipeline Programme is a five year commitment, whereby I am provided with training, support and guidance to assist me with my academic and future career. The Mentoring Programme comprises of one to one support from a business professional from Charles Russell Speechlys for a total of six, one hour, meetings. Each meeting aims to focus on developing and working on a specific skill that will aid me in the long-term.

  Virtual Work Experience

  This two-day virtual experience in the legal profession was very insightful, including a summary of careers in law and differences between private practices, barristers, solicitors and paralegals. It also covered some inspiring journeys and the multiple routes taken towards their careers, as well as race, ethnicity, and cultural background within law.

  Work Experience

  I worked for Accenture, the world's leading technology and consulting organisation, for a week where I learnt more about them from their graduates as well as their workshops during the week. These workshops included 'Intro to Coding', 'Intro into Design Thinking', 'Professionalism in the workplace' and 'Cybersecurity'. All the workshops contributed in aiding me and my team of 4 to generate an idea to the question, How we might use innovative technologies to solve challenges facing young people in 2021? We then presented our idea 'Support on the fly' in the form of a presentation indicating the technologies involved as well as what challenge it is targeted towards. Show less
