I treated geriatric patients with acute and chronic diagnoses during their hospital stay, while maintaining an appropriate medication regimen for the geriatric population. I became experienced with the EPIC computer program throughout this rotation.

I also became knowledgeable about the Athena computer program throughout this rotation.

I gained knowledge of many emergent conditions and procedures; being a team member during countless trauma cases. I gained experience with suturing, CPR, intubation, I&D’s, ultrasound, dislocation reductions, and splinting. I also completed further experience with the EPIC health system.

      5-week General Surgery rotation at UPMC Carlise Hospital and West Shore Hospital in which I acquired many hours of OR experience. I also completed a UPMC scrub training program and became certified with the Da’Vinci Xi robotic surgical system. I became experienced with common General Surgery procedures including but not limited to: hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, colectomies, and appendectomies. I also gained further knowledge with EPIC EMR system. 5-week Hospital Medicine rotation at UPMC Williamsport hospital. I gained knowledge of many common diagnosis requiring hospitalization. I became experienced with different protocols and treatments based off community guidelines. I became familiar with UPMC’s EMR system known as Power Chart.

      5-week Inpatient and Long Term Care Psychiatry rotation at the Family Center For Wellness in Florida. I was Student Leader for the entire student community at the rotation (about 30 students) in which I oriented incoming students, lead group therapy, assigned patients to every student, and made schedules for various tasks including presenting daily labs and scribing therapy. I acquired excellent experience with conducting mental status examinations and spent numerous hours daily in DBT and CBT therapy with the patients. I also became familiar with techniques and operations for breast augmentations, breast lifts, rhytidectomy, blepharoplasty, carpal tunnel release, mastectomy, rhinoplasty, brachioplasty, abdominoplasty, and liposuction.
