    • Consumer Opinion Services

      Jan 2007 - Feb 2008
      Clerk/Call Center Supervisor

I started on the phones at Consumer Opinion Services, conducting surveys and qualifying respondents for focus groups for a variety of food, health, and political organizations. I was moved up to a clerk and supervisor position in the call center, which had me verifying that the interviewers' surveys were accurate, providing quality control on how our interviewers conducted their surveys and screenings, and adding new respondents to our database for future focus groups.I also was responsible for maintaining our quotas for the different surveys and focus groups we were conducting, confirming appointments with the respondents, and sending updates to our clients. In a normal day, I would be using Outlook for emails and calendaring to maintain our deadlines. I would also use Excel extensively and an Access based database software to maintain our respondent records. Show less

    • Stream Global Services

      Mar 2008 - Oct 2009
      Support Professional

For most of the first year at Stream I supported a variety of high end creative software over the phone and through email. This included photo editing, video editing, audio editing, and special effects software. To prepare us for supporting these products, Stream would provide intensive training courses for each program, insuring that we would be able to explain to even the most advanced users how to reach the result that they wanted. We were also encouraged to play with the software in between calls and read about new techniques with the software so that we would stay up to date.Later, I moved to supporting hardware for a major computer manufacturer. This was exclusively phone support, and I had to be able to explain to customers from the full spectrum of computer experience how to troubleshoot their hardware. This included walking customers through opening up their towers and removing RAM, hard drives, and other internal hardware.Through this job I received experience with two CRM systems, as well as adding to my Excel knowledge..
