  The key to any businesses success is its people. During the GFC the staffs at Patrick’s restaurant were the key to remaining in line with budget. This was brought out by Patrick’s ability to manage a team to develop them and instill a greater understanding of how the business operated. Through this he controlled cost more effectively and was able to proactively push sales. Successful succession planning pushed his managers to a level of being able to effectively run the business and grow into more senior roles with in the organization.With high standards and legal compliance, training was a step by step process with strategies put in place, to maximize time efficacy and knowledge retained to company standard. In Patrick’s GM roles he mentored and oversaw the fundamental training and development of all his staff. All staff were reviewed on a monthly for senior staff and six monthly for all other staff.
