  As Claim Manager, I served as the technical casualty and property claim expert, enterprise wide for SRHS and all of its subsidiaries and physician practices. Reporting directly to the Office of General Counsel and the Director of Risk Management, I was responsible for timely identification, investigating, evaluating, reserving and resolving any and all professional, general, property, EEOC, D&O liability and any other incidents, claims, or adverse outcomes which involve SRHSD, it’s employed physicians or its medical staff in an effort to reduce, minimize or remove the financial exposures. This position also served as a technical resource and liaison for the worker’s compensation program. As the Claim Manager I was responsible for the set-up and overall operation and management of the District’s Self-Insured Retention program. As the manager of the insurance services program, I worked to centralize, evaluate, purchase and perform system wide insurance program functions, to include planning and implementation to consolidate all liability/property insurance programs and functions for the healthcare system as well as manage the renewal process for all system wide insurance products.
