At FSI/SPAS/MTT/HR deliverables included developing pre-class (day-zero) materials to develop proficiency with virtual learning spaces; team teach sections of the Human Resources flagship class; update the branding and content of asynchronous and synchronous course materials; organize class files and administrative paperwork; and develop teaching plans and attach corresponding materials. Under FSI/SPAS/AS considerable time was spent updating and developing Ambassador Briefings for newly appointed Ambassadors heading to post. In addition, deliverables for the Western Hemisphere division of Area Studies included developing course materials for the program’s advanced courses on Western Hemispheric political affairs for mid-level FSOs with experience in the region. I worked directly with CDR (ret.) Dr. Patrick Paterson to develop course curricula, curate course materials, and provide reference and research services on topics like climate-related migration and the implications of climate change on security in the Western Hemisphere. Working with Dr. Fabiana Perera, I developed materials for publication on cybersex trafficking in South America and supported her research on security cooperation with developing countries in the Western Hemisphere.
