Sept 2000 - Dec 2007I led a multi £M project employing in excess of 1000 people.I took over the project when it was experiencing a number of stakeholder satisfaction issues that were attracting widespread media interest. Implemented a number of initiatives to address the various issues. Full P&L responsibility for the Division with a turnover of £25M and employing 300+ people. Achievements in the role included:-• Transformed business from loss making to profit making.• Reduced the overdue outstanding debt from £1M to less than £100K in 2 years.

Led the Technical Assurance team which provided technical advice and monitoring against regulatory, legal and technical standards.Achievements in this role included:-• Following 3 very serious incidents within the space of a few months, I wrote the business case to establish an operational compliance team. As this team became established, other compliance teams were merged into the unit to form a full technical assurance division.• The team, in collaboration with various departments, helped reduce the number of major non-conformances raised by the external auditing team from an average of 4 per annum to 1 in a five-year period.
