      I was responsible for the full payroll function at MultiChoice for the following companies : MultiChoice, M-Net, Orbicom, IGN Sportsbook, IGN Gaming Network, Computicket, M-Cell, MIH, M-Web Interactive, M-Web Connect, SuperSport, Oracle and Irdeto. In addition to the above companies, who were paid in South Africa, I controlled the payments to expatriate staff situated throughout Africa, the Far East, Middle East and Australia.I managed 8 staff members who assisted in the administration of the different payrolls, being both monthly and fortnightly payrolls.One of my major achievements was to computerise various systems, which were used in the administration of the various payrolls. Amongst these was a Reconciliation programme for annual leave and sick leave, a cheque requisition programme and a programme which enabled users to input details of salaries and calculate the Total Cost of employment together with the net pay of the employee. I was also involved in writing a Salary Review Programme to be used as a tool by Managers during the Salary Review Process. I trained Managers and Supervisors in this programme. Once they had completed their review using the programme, the resultant files were sent to me and details were extracted in order to issue increase letters using Microsoft Word. I kept the MATCH system, a programme used to benchmark staff against the market, updated. Show less
