  I was a Research Assistant in 2 different labs:USC Family Studies Project under the direction of Dr. Gayla Margolin Spring 2009- Spring 2011. Conducted interviews, contacted and scheduled subjects, coded videos of family discussions, compiled data, transcribed narratives, extracted themes and conducted a literature review to examine the influence of stress, risk and protective factors on families and examine how individuals and families are affected by having a family member in the military.Brain and Creativity Institute under the direction of Dr. Lisa Aziz-Zadeh Fall 2009 to Spring 2010. Conducted a literature review and presented a poster at the USC Undergraduate Research Symposium on locating visual creativity in the brain. Conducted subject trials, organized data, and prepared stimuli to assess the effects of social threats on self-face recognition.Volunteered to assist with Vivian Yip's Occupational Therapy Doctoral Thesis in April/May 2010. Transcribed interviews of individuals with unilateral congenital below elbow deficiency with prostheses. Show less
