Show less Established by Article V, Section 20 of the Texas Constitution; the office of the County Clerk has existed in Texas since 1836. Official records keeper of the Tarrant County Commissioner's Court, the office also records all Tarrant County real property transactions, supports 15 courts (Civil, Probate and Criminal), and provides Vital Records services (death/birth certificates, marriage licenses and assumed names) to the public. The Chief Deputy is responsible for all facets of the organization- day to day operations, strategic planning, the annual budget and ensuring cost effective delivery of services coupled with an exceptional customer experience. The County Clerk's Office employs approximately 145 great people with an annual operating budget of 11 million dollars and revenue of almost 25 million dollars.
