  As a Scientific Officer in the Radioisotope Production Division (RIPD) at the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, my primary role is doing research on the production and applications of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals. Additionally, I serve as the Radiation Control Officer (RCO) for the facility, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory standards during production.In my role, I lead operations in the hot-cell facility to produce Mo-99/Tc-99m generators and to dispense I-131 oral solutions, following cGMP guidelines and pharmacopeial standards. I also oversee quality assurance for our radiopharmaceuticals, utilizing various radioanalytical instruments, including dose calibrators, radio-TLC, and HPGe detectors.My research extends to the in-house development of radiopharmaceuticals like MDP, DMSA, and DTPA. I am actively involved in testing these compounds for their efficacy and biodistribution in preclinical trials using albino mice and rats in our facility’s animal house. Show less
