  While shadowing the Head of Legal and Compliance at LSEG a (FTSE 100 Component) for the duration of a week I assisted with tasks related to financial analysis, contingency planning, legal compliance, market research, and an introduction to foreign exchange (FX).In addition, I visited the High Court of Justice, the Bank of England museum and took a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, gaining valuable insight into the UK’s legal and regulatory systems, which are crucial to ensuring compliance in financial markets.   Selected by my head of year to represent the school and in partnership with the West Kent Housing Association, I was given the opportunity to undertake a placement week internship with Civica, A Global leader in public sector software. Valued at £2.5 Billion Civica provides services for public sector clients internationally.During this placement at Civica’s southbank headquarters, I actively participated in multiple Triage and Development calls and managed project and account responsibilities. Using Civica's sandbox environment involved working with SQL programming tools, including SSIS, stored procedures, and SSRS. I also participated in an internal Business Development Management meeting, gaining valuable insights into the company’s strategic initiatives. Show less
