      Jun 2014 - Jul 2014
      Instructional Staff

      - Instructional staff member tasked with leading multiple hands-on lab instructional modules meant to provide camp members with exposure to and tangible experience with different STEM topics.- Created and taught a module dealing with energy conversion and conservation as it pertains to Pinewood Derby Car design.

    • Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, Epsilon Rho Chapter

      Aug 2014 - May 2015
      President

      - Organized and directed a year-long chapter initiative to increase philanthropy, campus presence, and improve member academics in order to pass the Duke Greek Community Standards evaluation. The chapter improved from a status of ‘failing’ from the previous year to attaining the highest level awarded within this metric, a gold level status. - Coordinated with alumni the creation of a scholarship for members’ in-need of financial support for paying chapter dues. Scholarship includes a formal mission statement, application process, and subsequent selection by board of alumni.- Led weekly meetings with the chapter’s Executive Board to determine policy and monitor how actions were aligned with the goals and objectives of the chapter. • Tesla Motors

      Jun 2016 - Aug 2016
Engineering Intern @ Model 3 General Assembly

During my internship, I supported the initial high-level concept development of a material flow solution, documenting key performance requirements and leading the fabrication of a prototype system. I created a detailed electrical design, including documentation for the project's electrical architecture, and applied built-in function block programming on a Siemens Programmable Logic Controller to control stepper motors with precision.Additionally, I identified functional requirements for production line-side electronic service terminals to prepare for vendor quote requests, ensuring specifications aligned with production needs. As Software Engineering Manager for AIMS, I led a committee of senior architects to establish standards and policies for the software organization, shaping the team's structure and technical guidelines. I coordinated sprint planning and backlog sessions, strategically prioritizing tasks to meet development milestones and tackle key challenges. My team delivered an autonomous drone solution for two clients, positioning the project for potential growth with expanded customer acquisition.I also implemented automated CI and data pipelines to streamline software deployment and data management for AIMS. Leading a high-performing team of engineers and developers, I focused on delivering cutting-edge robotics and autonomy solutions for warehouse monitoring applications. In partnership with architecture and product management teams, I created a technical product roadmap and delivery schedule to guide ongoing project development and meet product milestones. Show less As a drone platform lead for AIMS, I led a cross-functional engineering and business development team to develop autonomous drone solutions for warehouse inventory management. I designed a drone hardware architecture, defining key performance indicators and analyzing industry options to meet them effectively. By conducting in-depth interviews with more than 25 vendors, I identified and selected the top three platform providers, ensuring our solution leveraged the best technology available.I established a dedicated testing and integration team, managing recruitment, training, and mentorship to build a skilled and cohesive unit. Collaborating with operations, business development, and systems engineering teams, I led Proof of Value demonstrations to validate product-market fit, successfully deploying our research-driven solution with two initial warehouse customers. Show less In this role, I established and led a drone research and development focused on advanced aerial technology solutions. My efforts included creating new robotics lab spaces and delivering key technical demonstrations to both company leaders and clients. I conducted five monthly presentations on 4G LTE drone technology to increase pre-sales pipelines for private wireless solution during a 6 month period. This role allowed me to contribute to the development of innovative robotics applications while exploring new use cases for cutting-edge technologies.I achieved an 80% reduction in crash incidents by implementing a precision-landing safety system for commercial drone products. Additionally, I co-developed an award-winning autonomous drone system for vertical farming in collaboration with AeroFarms and used UAV and AI technologies to improve agricultural practices. My leadership in integrating software and hardware for a smart agriculture project led to the creation of a proof of concept, demonstrating how robot-captured images can enhance plant health monitoring and yield predictions.
