  In this role, I was an integral member of the Performance Assurance Team for a large civil engineering contractor working with the Highways Agency. Successes in post:• Delivery of several lean projects using the DMAICT process, including Value Stream Mapping.• Facilitation and promotion of lean and continuous improvement opportunities that equate to savings to the company and the client of over £7m, as well as improvements to quality, delivery, moral and safety.• Delivery of a programme of Lean awareness workshops, delivered to over a third of office-based staff, leading to a Recognise workshop open to all staff where 14 significant potential improvement projects were identified.• Redesign of the company Continuous Improvement process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency when handling improvement opportunities. The process I designed was used as a benchmark and rolled out to sister contracts.• Introduction of a Lean Visual Management System into the Performance Assurance Team, which has received praise from top management, the A-one+ Lean Manager and teams in sister contracts.• Devised further lean training modules for use by any Lean practitioner in order to deliver projects on 5s, Lean Visual Management Systems and DMAICT• I became the focal point for internal communications and delivered a number of communication improvements into the company, including video conferencing, Social Business and team briefings.
