  Senior Engineer - Network Management

  I am the Network Manager for Dundee City Council. I manage a team of engineers and I am responsible for DCC's duties under the Road Scotland Act in terms of maintaining the road network across Dundee. I was the principal engineer for the successful delivery of traffic management across Dundee during Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral cortege in 2022. I attended the Gold Command at Police Scotland HQ in Dundee and liaised with the multi agency team to ensure the roads network remained free flowing and also the safe passage of the cortege. I am the principal engineer for the delivery of all transportation related matters across Dundee for Radio 1's Big Weekend 2023. This includes liaising with Transport Scotland and their operating company for the closure of sections of the trunk road network as well as managing external consultants, procurement and management of the traffic management company and chairing the transport sub group including regular multi agency meetings to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the event.
