    • Association Headquarters, Inc.

      Jul 2002 - Jan 2014
Vice President, Associate VP, Director of Creative Services, Publication Manager

      • I grew a three-person publications team into a full-service, 15-person in-house creative department that provided design, marketing and web development services.• By introducing new services, obtaining new clients and implementing internal business improvement processes, I was able to increase the company’s creative department revenue.• I led the implementation of a company-wide pilot productivity management system that included basic project management methodology, email management techniques, time management strategies and a task scheduling model. The system resulted in less staff stress, fewer errors and more on-time project completion. • As part of the productivity management program, I created and implemented a new process for bringing new full-service clients onboard that reduced errors and omissions by creating repeatable work outlines, key project milestones and deliverables, and standardized status reporting.• During my time as Publication Manager, the number of publications our team handled grew from two to seven, including a monthly magazine.• While serving in all of my management positions I continued to perform all aspects of publication work, including editorial planning, content planning, writing, editing and production management.
