  I was one of several Development Engineers to work the Brooks, AB area. Throughout this tenure I developed various resource plays spanning from Shallow Gas (Med Hat, Milk River formations), to Belly River CBM, then onto Mannville Group gas pools. In conjunction to my development and project management roles I was also involved in corporate long range plan, asset budgetting, production forecasting, reserves bookings and auditing. Our primary goal was to provide free and reliable cash flow for the company. Show less Fresh out of University, I replaced my mentor as Completions Engineer for the Drumheller Area. I helped manage and program both new completion activities on shallow, CBM and deeper Mannville wells, as well as recompletion/re-entry completions on existing wells. Shortly after I started I was provided the added opportunity and responsibility to act as Production Engineer for the more than 100 pumping oil wells within our area. Within this role I programmed and managed all production work over operations, directed all production optimization efforts related to these wells, and designed and equipped all new pumping oil wells.   I am currently the Senior Development/Exploitation engineer working the West Heavy oil pools on the Suffield Block. Most are under waterflood operations with future development and EOR opportunities. Water balancing, voidage, infrastructure, and limited field access due to the military are my main challenges. I am the Senior Development Engineer and Polymer EOR Specialist for the Cenovus Pelican Lake Polymer EOR Flood Project. My primary role is technical team support on all polymer related issues related to the flood. I coordinate our field laboratory and surveillance efforts, polymer QA/QC programs, new polymer evaluations/screening, special projects, polymer flood and facility optimization and all technical vendor relations. I also oversee several of the field pilots for enhanced oil recovery. As a carry over after the Cenovus-EnCana split I continued on with my role as Development Engineer in the Brooks, Ab area progressing the development of Pekisko and Mannville oil pools in the area. My role also included managing my program development budget, production forecasting, reserved bookings, and corporate long range plans.

  The Onion Lake Thermal Asset is one of IPC Canada flagship assets. The Asset has a long history of primary CHOPS production before moving into a secondary recovery methods employing a Modified SAGD thermal approach. I support the Onion Lake Thermal Asset and Asset Manager by coordinating new development opportunities. Working with stakeholders to map out new development projects (SAGD and modified SAGD). This work primarily encompasses creating and building the business case through scheduling, upside value proposition and supporting economics and documentation. As well as coordinate all regulatory application work. Show less The Mooney heavy oil Chemical EOR project is another one IPC Canada Ltd heavy oil EOR projects. The project only got Phase 1 ASP injection going before the economic downturn hit. My job is to provide day to day support for our operations staff, steward all subsurface and reservoir guidance, develop a go forward strategic vision that fits the current economic environment, progress the roll out of the subsequent phases of the Chem EOR flood, and most importantly maximize asset NAV and value for our company and shareholders. Other responsibilities include managing assets liability through ARO clean up, and ESG initiatives to balance emissions tracking, emissions and carbon tax burden reductions going forward. Show less Senior Exploitation engineer responsible for West Area Upper Mannville (Glauconite) heavy oil pool development on the Suffield asset. The majority of the pools have an active bottom water aquifer and are all under water flood pressure maintenance/support. Reservoir management, infrastructure optimization, and pool development are my main key focuses.This resource is located under CFB Suffield. Though these pools are now 40+ years old they still hold 70%+ of the OOIP. What a great and challenging opportunity! Show less
