Project Co-Ordinator for the Local Environmental Action Plan (LEAP). This was a project run in conjunction with various County Council’s and involved bringing environmental information, advice and activities to different communities and schools within the County. Much of the work involved working with County Council's as part of their Waste Management and Litter strategies to promote environmental awareness and improve partnerships between communities and theCounty Council. It also built links with other organisations, such as Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) and An Taisce’s Green Schools Programme, as many of the workshops carried out under the programme also prmosted energy awareness and provided information on the Green Schools Programme for children to bring back to their teachers. Whilst working as project co-ordinator gained experience in the research preparation of environmental education tools and projects, as well as compiling a Development Education project for the Department of Foreign Affairs to be used in schools at secondary level.
