Show less Officer-in-Charge – Detachment FIVE 2010-2012Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (Light) 46, Jacksonville, FL• Supervised a one Helicopter Detachment of 23 Officers and Sailors deployed to the Horn of Africa conducting Anti-Piracy operations on the USS DEWERT, an Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigate in support of Operation Ocean Shield.• Planned, coordinated, and led a team that executed over 500 mishap-free deployed flight hours in support of CTF-508, providing regional commanders with real-time pattern-of-life intelligence in and around pirate camps near the Somali basin. No ships were pirated during this deployment.• Managed an operational budget of over $320,000 in flight hours and a maintenance budget of $2.7 million over a course of a seven-month deployment.
