      As a Patient Care Assistant at City of Hope, I have had the opportunity to serve a unique patient population, while gaining excellent clinical experience. I have had the opportunity to focus on patient comfort by quickly responding to calls and handling diverse needs while also learning how to communicate well with coworkers on a busy hospital unit. I have gained skills in Epic charting, taking vital signs, and documenting intake and outputs, all while communicating status updates to the healthcare team. I have emphasized patient satisfaction by assisting with bathing, dressing and exercising. Working on a hematology unit with a step down focus has been a valuable learning experience, as I have communicated changes in patient conditions and other unit concerns to the healthcare team.
