This is aimed at promoting usage of digital financial management systems (SACCONet) and mobile banking in Savings and Credit Societies (SACCOs) in Uganda. ● Led the team that developed SACCOnet SACCOs management software.● Setup the first UCCFS datacenter for hosting SACCOnet and currently hosts instances for 100 SACCOs based on 4 HP proliant DL380 Gen 10 servers and Vmware Vsphere 6.5 virtualization technology.● Setup and installed Vcenter Server for managing hosts and virtual machines in the datacenter.● Setting up new virtual machines in Esxi, virtual switches, datastores and assigning resources to virtual machines.● Monitoring day to day operations of all virtual machines and Esxi hosts, memory usage, storage, Health checks ensuring 99% up time of production servers.● Set up and currently maintain a backup and disaster recovery environment for Vsphere, Virtual machines using Veeam enterprise backup solution.● Monitor and ensure all backups of production VMs are carried out, Mysqldumps for databases have been executed and data secured on offsite backup disks.● Introduced use of VPN trunks based on GSM Private APN connectivity and leased lines for remote connectivity between client SACCOs with UCCFS datacenter.● Managing UCCFS domain controller server, adding users, computers and providing support for Active Directory services.● Setup UCCFS file server enabling centralized storage, access and retrieval of company data.● Providing L1, L2 and L3 support for over 200 users connected on SACCOnet system.
