  Clinical Internship: Audiological Center

  During this internship, I have setup a research to test the directional hearing of Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) Patients. Within this research it was possible to variate the processing time of the BAHA and to measure its effect on directional hearing.

  During this internship, I have investigated the possibility to use 3D TransEsophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) to segmentate and evaluate the mistral valva prior to surgery. During this internship, I have investigated the needs and possibilities for Intensive Care (IC) patients to communicated while being intubated. This research is the start of CommIC. During this internship, I have developed a method for the detection of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) using a mobile phone and pulseoxy meter only. Using simple devices, the screening for SAS could be improved dramatically.
