Aug 2019 - Apr 2022SupervisorIn this job i am required to be able to run the front desk and help the customer in the best way of my ability. I would take care of things like doing a refund or fixing a coupon that was not rung up or fixing a price on a item that was not correct and adjusting their receipt to make sure it is what it is supposed to say. I need to be able to control the front end and make sure all of the checkers and baggers are doing what they are suppose to be doing and always staying on task as well as giving them their breaks on time and be a role model for them to look up to, especially when they encounter a problem on the register. I am required to know how to open and close the front end and over time became one of the best openers that is on the service desk and has lots of experience with bookkeeping and accounting for the store. My job requires me to make sure that the front end is kept neat and organized for the store manager and that everything is in order the way it should be. That might include making sure that the lottery machine was always filled or getting all garbage taken out and cleaning up any spills that occur throughout the store, making sure that everyone is in uniform and make sure all of the tasks for the baggers and checkers are taken care of as well as keeping them motivated and happy coming to work. I have been on the service desk for a year and 10 months going on two years in may and have had lots of experience with customer service and and being able to act like a leader for others while having a lot of knowledge with money handling and bookkeeping and accounting as well. May 2024 - Apr 2025I started working for Planet Fitness as a Member Service Representative and quickly got promoted to Assistant Manager by June of 2022. What I am expected of is to make sure the gym is always clean and the employees are on top of their tasks for the day. I get all the paper work done which include billing issues, insurance issues, return for collection, and overdues on members accounts. I also do Excel work with the schedule and staying on track of controllable tracker. With that I also keep track of our inventory weekly. If I am the first manager that is in the club, I will do a walk around to see what needs attention and what the employees have already done. I am always preparing for a monthly audit for how cleanliness the gym is and getting the procedures done every month. I close out drawers everyday and deposit the money to the bank and making sure we are even on cash. I deal with our invoices we get either weekly or monthly and sent out emails when needed. I am always talking to our members and making sure they are in a safe environment at all times and have great customer service experience. I am expected to always be on top of my work and get all tasks done on time before I leave the club. I was very grateful to work with an amazing team and well organized management to help me succeed in my position to prepare me for the next step in my life. I was coach very closely from my regional manager and my club manager to improve in skills like leadership, lead trainer, and problem solver in the club. I have been told by my colleagues how professional and more mature I have grown as a person and with the company which gave me the confidence to thrive in my future.
