  As the senior sonar technician I was responsible for day-to-day operations of the AN/SQS-56 Active Sonar system. As the lead technician, I was incharge of the maintance and preventative maintance of the sonar suite. As a Sonar Supervisor, while aboard the USS Underwood FFG-36 and conducted sub-warfare drills and evaluated sonar team performance during these drills.

  As an Assistant Party Chief, I conducted extensive underwater surveying with up-to-date sonar and navigation equipment in the Gulf of Mexico. Using this sonar equipment I assisted divers with pipe line surveys, sub sea tie ins and debris removal. While onboard several pipe laying barges I assisted oil companies with numerous pipeline construction and sub sea tie in projects in the GOM.
