  In 2010, I founded the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Women's White Collar Defense Association. From our origins as a small group of female rising stars in white collar criminal defense in a range of Bay Area law firms, I've helped grow the Chapter to 140 active members and 43 alumnae.Our Chapter's mission is to provide Bay Area women in white collar defense and investigations, including securities enforcement, antitrust, criminal defense, and compliance and internal investigations, with advanced tools, strategic discussions, business development, and educational and networking opportunities.We hold frequent Chapter events bringing our members together to learn from and network with each other and experts within industry and the government.   I served on the Board of Directors of the Women Defenders of San Francisco. The Women Defenders of San Francisco is comprised of female criminal defense attorneys, including public defenders, solo practitioners and firm lawyers. The organization offers MCLE-accredited skills seminars and activities whereby practitioners learn first-hand from the experience of other criminal defense lawyers, investigators, experts and professors.   I was competitively selected for a prestigious position as Special Assistant District Attorney in Marin County specifically to try cases before the judges and juries of Marin County. I led trial teams in the first chair, successfully trying nearly a dozen criminal cases to verdict including seven complete jury trials.

The mission of WIWC is to provide a wide cross-section of female attorneys practicing in the white collar area, including outside counsel, in-house attorneys, professors, government attorneys, and the judicial bench, with opportunities to network with and learn from each other and from inspiring speakers at the Women In White Collar Annual Luncheon as part of the annual ABA White Collar Institute.
