      HSE Paramedic

It was at this time I decided to take my career into a new direction and began working in the capacity of HSE Paramedic. While working offshore, I was able to develop my personnel management and administrative skills. It was at this time I successfully received reciprocity to Louisiana at the paramedic level. Due to the isolated nature of the offshore environment, my clinical skills were extended through a series of classes taught in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. For a listing of these skills, please refer to the “Clinical Extension“ completion letter (available upon request.) I also had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the Oil & Gas industry. This information was used on a day-to-day basis while working in the offshore atmosphere. Due to my medical background I am expected to render first-aid/emergency care and aero-medical assistance as needed. The HSE aspects of this position were new to me, but I took to them very quickly. The following is an example of my regular HSE duties: safety tracking, equipment inspections, equipment inventory & supply, safety training, disaster planning & preparedness, Root Cause Root Analysis Accident Investigation, Rig Site Safety Orientations, Personnel on Board List, Fire Fighter Training, Emergency Drill Training, all federal compliance issues. In short anything Safety related was my responsibility. While working for Acadian I was contracted to EXXON on several of their leased platforms/rigs and made responsible for maintaining their HSE/company standards. This is mentioned due to the fact EXXON has been considered at the forefront of HSE standards in the oil & gas industry. Show less
