Investigated 17 accidents to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future. Investigated the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, and performance in 49 facilities on the installation. Developed and maintained industrial hygiene programs such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, and asbestos management plans for 1179 headquarters personnel. Inspected and evaluated 130 workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure 100% compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Collaborated with engineers and physicians to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment therefore reducing workplace injuries by 10% per year. Conducted safety training and education programs, and demonstrated the use of safety equipment through teaching Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) curriculum to 1549 personnel. Provided 920 new-employee health and safety orientations, and develop materials for these presentations.
