      Pioneered and directed rigorous training programs for 4,000+ individuals through parachute, glider and basic flight training. Provided airfield and aircraft management, and directed all operations for maximum safety, innovation and productivity. Supervised finances ($25M budget), administration, aircraft acquisition, supplies, personnel and planning. Implemented flight rules and ensured Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) compliance for airport, tower and grounds management. • In coordination with FEMA and the FAA, transitioned the airfield from training operation to firefighting base for helicopters fighting massive wildfires in Colorado; procedures were adopted for future firefighting operations• Led 5 major airfield enhancement projects (total value exceeded $9.5M) substantially improved airfield security and increased aircraft safety through installation of the world's largest aviation turf landing surface• Procured 45 new airplanes (72% of the total fleet) to sustain academy flight training operations in future years Show less • Managed all operations of 300+ employee organization including strategic vision, administration, training budget, human relations, aircraft maintenance, supply, safety and compliance within Air Force policy.• Trained first four state-run flight organizations to utilize unmanned aircraft expanding operations by 200%.Led organization through massive restructure by analyzing human capital, including international personnel and identifying critical equipment required to rebuild unit. Moved unit 60 miles and rapidly established a temporary operations facility. Simultaneously collaborated with contract agents, multiple external vendors and civil engineering to design and construct new $3M operations and administration facilities. <<Results>> Restarted operations 4 months before deadline, facility move completed in 6 months.Turned around organization with low morale and less than optimal operational effectiveness. Rapidly identified ineffective personnel, restructured and reorganized entire unit, removed ineffective directives, hired new key leaders, issued new strategic, operational and tactical guidance, and reworked entire shift schedule to emphasize teaming. <<Results>> Unit morale, effectiveness and production greatly improved resulting in a dramatic increase in demand for product.
