For its alternative investments, APFC hires external investment managers to manage its portfolio. The Finance Department is staffed primarily by forensic accountants. We expect the best from all our professional relationships, but exercise extreme care in gathering and confirming information about our holdings. We gather data from the custodian, directly from managers and from third party sources where available. We identify disparities and research as needed to make sure that our service providers are true to their obligations to manage and report on our interests timely and accurately. Supervising two accountants with focus on Alternative Investments including direct investments and private limited partnerships, hedge funds, infrastructure, private equity. My strength is in technology. I know how to gather data from disparate sources using whatever system is in place and gather all data to a central repository where it can be used by Finance and Investments teams for additional needs as they arise. Software systems include: BiTech CDD, Yardi, Oracle SQL, Microsoft Office Professional including MS Access. Show less

What began in 2017 as a grass-roots coalition of diverse individuals to preserve on 18th century building at 1st and Pike at the entrance to Pike Place Market has evolved and expanded its focus on social advocacy for quality of life for all who live, work, and play downtown. What started as a fight to preserve one 100 year old buildings at the entrance to Pike Place Market has turned into a full-blown fight for enlightened growth management. If we don’t take action toward increased focus on attention to essential space for loading and waste storage space in new high-rises, the impact on traffic congestion downtown is going to make the Seattle Squeeze will look like the good old days. We still want to preserve the sense of place at the entrance to Pike Place Market, but backing up to a higher perspective, this is a fight for quality of life for us all, now and for generations to come.
