    • KSI Engineering, Inc.

      May 2009 - Oct 2010
      Project Manager

Engineering, project management & project scheduling for an oilfield manufacturing company. Project Manager for Hess Corporation projects (50% travel). Scope, manage and close out multiple projects with 3D piping design, electrical, controls, & structural engineering disciplines. Typical projects included skidded separators, LACT's, pig launchers, automated valve manifolds, or field-fabricated facilities such as tanks and larger (20' diameter) treaters & FWKO's. My role varied with project needs: I did engineering & design on some projects, while others had a schedule (MS Project) or project management focus (manloading, budget). Show less

    • Stantec

      Oct 2010 - May 2012
Project Manager - Processes Unlimited International, now Stantec

Example Project: Facilities Plan for Kern Front Oilfield. Confirmed economics, developed implementation plan for constructing a gathering systems and processing facilities expansion. I led a multidisciplinary team, working as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager, in the following: o In my role as Project Manager, I estimated capital costs for all systems, providing a modularized estimate so the client could choose options at a later date. I used a combination of high-level estimating (factored estimating) and detailed estimating (requesting costs from vendors). o In my role as Project Manager, I provided a construction schedule for the most likely scenario in MS Project, with costs over the next five-year's time. o In my role as the Project Manager, I tracked costs for our time against the proposal we had presented to the client, and worked with Accounting to bill the project, and Project Scheduling to allocate resources. I was also responsible for comparing Earned Value to Cumulative Cost.o As-built of processing plants and emulsion/gas gathering systems. o Data gathering of existing documentation. o Developed documentation for existing systems, including Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams with Mass and Energy Balances, and estimation of system capacities for oil/water/solids separation plan, oil shipping pumps & LACT's, gas handling system, steam plant, produced water cleaning, filtration & softening. o Analyzed water sources for saturated steam injection. o Analyzed water disposal options for wastewater, such as softening for steam, injection in wells, and reclaim for irrigation. o Performed preliminary design for system expansions, including development of Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams with Mass and Energy Balances. o P&ID’s and layout diagrams were created for selected items. o Analyzed piping systems of several miles extent for steam and wastewater distribution. I performed hydraulics analysis on pipelines. Show less

Develop poster exhibit for presentation to a diverse audience, including non-technical individuals, to explain problems in both storm sewer (pipes) and surface system (gutters). Incorporate photos from fieldwork to provide a spatial reference for viewers and make drawing more concrete. * Fort Collins Nursery Site Development Plan, Larimer County, CO – Develop options for expanding greenhouse facility in the flood plain/flood fringe, including location of flood plain data, compiling map and listening to client to understand the situation, understanding County requirements and options for flood proofing/flood venting membrane structure greenhouses. Discuss options with County personnel and kick off permitting process. Show less

    • Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

      Jan 2020 - Jan 2023
Church Music Coordinator - First Presbyterian Church of LaSalle, Colorado

      * Currently continuing in a volunteer role, co-leading singing for worship services. * Played piano and sang during COVID when the other musicians were not able to attend in-person services. * Coordinated with the Worship Leader and Pastor to ensure that the music and other materials work together.* Solicited feedback from congregation on music. Incorporate feedback to improve people’s experience.* Incorporated songs that people requested, or mentioned that they enjoyed. In addition to traditional hymns, looked for pop and country western songs that worked for our congregation.* Repaired our church's Carillonette bells. Wrote to the manufacturer, traced wires and reconnected controller. Connected to P.A. system.* Researched and wrote bulletin inserts relating the history of hymns and special music pieces with local history, such as Germans from Russia, or with holidays, such as Saint Patrick's Day. * Transposed music to keys that are not too high or too low. Located highest and lowest pitches in melody line, used solfegge names of highest and lowest pitches in melody line to determine what the notes would be in various keys.* Used Musescore software to prepare scores. * Arranged music for available musicians, including arrangements for trumpet, organ, piano and vocalists. * Took the initiative to facilitate weekly Fellowship over Zoom, since we were not having fellowship time (time to chat over cookies and coffee after church) due to the pandemic. * During 2020 and 2021, I worked with several different ministers, as our regular minister retired at the beginning of the pandemic. Each week, I would find out who was going to be preaching and then coordinate with that person to either learn the songs they wanted, or pick out songs that coordinated with their sermon.* Used Revised Common Lectionary to find weekly scriptures. Find hymns and songs that match those scriptures.* Advocated for updating our approach to copyright licensing. Show less
