    • SSW Mechanical Services Ltd

      Aug 2018 - now
      Mechanical Inspector/Surveyor/Auditor

As a contractor in both Aviation and Oil & Gas industries I offer high quality Mechanical Services. With 22 years military experience in both Mechanical and Propulsion areas, Supervisory and Managerial experience, I add this to 5 years Field Service, Supervisory, Managerial and Technical Support gained in NOV equipment. After returning to aviation for 18 months in Saudi Arabia, I bring yet more skill sets to my own contracting services. Since August 2018 I've been utilised extensively on National equipment like Drawworks and Mud Pumps. Often in Supervisory positions. As a technician and supervisor I feel the need to expand all those working with and for me and yet open to new knowledge to expand my own skillset. I'm experienced in Report Writing for Equipment and Personnel and able to converse at all levels to ensure work is done and completed to the highest of standards with no ambiguity. To this end and since August 2019, I have been a Rig Inspection Auditor, traveling worldwide, auditing installations from Landrigs to Drillships. Carrying out these inspections, I not only utilise my vast experience in dealing with people from different cultures and different barriers such as language, I use the in depth knowledge gained from over 30 years engineering and the current legislation available to make concise and accurate assessments on the condition of installations. Able to assess the operative condition of an installation through functional testing and endurance phases, I’m able to inform drilling companies and clients of where potential issues may arise, if not already there and being missed.
