  My professional experience at Swiss Post starts with a 10 months formation at Swiss Post HQ in Bern. Further on, as analyst/programmer, I start working with different web-based technologies ranging from C/C++, Java- to Oracle-based development environments (IDE). That’s the reason why I still nowadays rely on a strong background in Enterprise Application Development and Integration in many different technology stacks. My development activities were mainly performed within Swiss Post's "Zahlungsverkehr"-Unit (today Postfinance).By the end of 2001 I was awarded with the title „Wirtschaftsinformatiker Generalist II“.   In year 2004 I joined the IT-Architecture Team within the Business Applications department (SW-development unit) of IT Service Post with the follwing tasks:- definition of SW-Architectures (patterns) and Technologies in the Development-unit of IT Services Post.- governance and control the application of standards and development guidelines - verify architecture patterns (basically based on Java and .NET technologies) At this point as IT-Architect and security professional I’m more and more involved in consulting-activities(ICT/IT-specific) for Swiss Post’s new e-business Projects in the following business contexts: e-commerce, e-fulfillment, webstamps, e-health and e-government.Since the new technology trends have always been my passion, I collaborate in projects where such trends are taking shape. Weniger anzeigen Our whole IT-Department (headquartered in Bern) becomes part of the newly founded IT Services Post. At this moment I was awarded the title of Software-Architect. My technical knowledge allowed me to be in charge of projects (as project-manager) distributed on different Business Units within Swiss Post’s large IT-landscape and to coordinate Projects with large number of internal and external ressources and developers. Some example of these projects are:- Contribute in Architecture and Development of Swiss Post's main portal (including service's and application's integration) and its underlyingcontent management system- Development and Integration of Yelloworld's e-Business Portal into the existing Swiss Post's Portal. With my developer’s team we collaborated at the design and development of a “single-sign-on” solution for all services hosted on the Swiss Post’s portal.- I was encharged of choosing and developing the future e-commerce software-platform for Swiss Post (based on which we have nowadays 5 e-commerce solutions running, all developed based on a “.NET-Technology” environment)In this period of time due to the high engagement and competence of our Bellinzona-based team, we grow from 5 (as per 1994) to 25 personnel units (plus 5-6 external) becoming also the competence center for web-based (internet) software development within Swiss Post. This competence is nowadays still our hallmark.In 2002 I also contributed in setting up guidances and plan countermesures in order to increase security of our Systems and Applications. I contributed in defininig Security policies at infrastructure- and application-development level for Swiss Post’s most important web-based projects.
