Work was performed through multiple contract companies, Betacom Inc being a primary, for various customers including Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless, etc...   Network Engineer

  My role as a network engineer in the Cingular Wireless Southeast Region NOC began as a frontline technician responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of our regions TDMA, GSM and UMTS RAN equipment. We troubleshot and resolved issues from a tier 1/2 perspective. I was promoted to a shift lead a year into the role and oversaw the shift and handled multiple tasks including network monitoring, outage management, bridge resolution, FCC reportable incidents, etc...

  Starting January 2007 I was a front line supervisor for multiple teams in a NOC environment. I've been responsible for as much as 20 management employees and up to 40 contractors. These teams were responsible for the maintenance and tier 1 monitoring of the radio access network and the backhaul portion as well. In 2010 I moved into a new position as a network design engineer on the LTE Incubation team for AT&T. It was our teams responsibility to prepare the operations teams and give them the tools and knowledge to monitor the new LTE network from data only all the way to VoLTE and beyond. I have personally developed training courses in LTE data and VoLTE technologies and taught said courses within the company. Our team has transitioned into the DevOps model for AT&T's rollout of the Virtual Ethernet Packet Core (vEPC) spearheading the industries transition to Software Defined Networks. I have been acting as a project manager for the rollout of the new network elements, standing them up and operationalizing them. Show less
