Funded by philanthropic benefactors, management of the project's £3.8m budget was a key aspect of this role. The permanent IT team of 15 staff was augmented by upwards of 20 freelance and fixed term contractors working exclusively on the project team. I managed the working relationship with the software supplier, and collaborated closely with the Test Manager to ensure that functionality and data migration conformed to specification. The Business Working Group was a key element in the success of the project, forming a discussion and decision forum, and acting as project champions within their teams, as well as nominating resources for User Acceptance Testing and business process documentation. In preparation for Go Live I worked with the Technical Leads to develop a detailed Deployment Plan which was executed over five days with minimal system outages. Show less
