I was selected by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to be part of the amazing Kellogg National Fellowship/Leadership Program (KNFP/KNLP). I was one of a national cohort of about 45 mid-career professionals that was given funding and up to 3 months off work each year to develop and carry out a personal learning plan over 3 years. This included travel to nearly every continent to meet with social justice activists (China, South Africa, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Belgium) as well as receiving extraordinary opportunities to expand our leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities, while experiencing several U.S. cities/regions (Miami, Detroit) and many regions of Brazil.
